Elon Mask Virtual Reality

verbal state masquis/bient state that we all live in video games

Виртуальный мирNot long ago, in an interview at the Code Conference in California, the entrepreneur and the lover of Elon Mask, predicted that we all live in computer simulation. At first glance, his statement might seem like a madman. It turns out that everything is deeper. Let's go deeper and try to find the flaws. theory of virtual realityOh, so to speak.

Mask ' s interests as founder of a number of large companies like Tesla and SpaceX are firmly linked to advanced technologies. His main idea is that computer games have evolved so fast over the past 40 years that they will be completely inseparable from the physical world in a few years. In other words, we are on the verge of merging the added reality (AR) with artificial intelligence. The ultimate result is that a real and virtual one can be completely inaccurate from another. According to him:

“If improvements are expected at any speed, the games will be inextricable from reality, even if the speed of improvement falls a thousand times from what is now. And then just tell yourself, okay, let's imagine what's going to be 10,000 years in the future, a moment of evolution.”

So, assuming that we're on a trajectory where the games are gradually becoming inextricable from reality, and that games can be played on any computer or supply, and that's gonna be billions, the odds that we're in one of those realities are growing.

The idea that people live in reality that is managed by external bodies, computers or something has long been expressed. The question has been studied by philosophers and even doctors for centuries. Philosopher Nick Bostrom reached the same conclusion in 2003.

The similarities between the Mask and Bostrom arguments go beyond the assumption that we all live in a giant computer simulation. They both believe that the development of artificial intelligence is a dangerous field. According to Mask, progress in the II study and its development will end civilization. Bostrom has a similar view and suggests that the development of IE projects without a risk assessment will be dangerous.
