And we're here again. Ten years ago, there was a revolutionary online video. Now the virtual reality will change the world again. Since we're getting closer to the first quarter of 2016, Oculus Rift, you can literally see and feel the adaptive work done on a weekly basis.
As one of the first businessmen in Google and YouTube, I've had a great deal of luck in helping to build an online video ecosystem from its inception. Most people don't believe when I say that in 2006, a small Google team comprising George Strompolos (George Strompolos), Adam Relis and myself, called the video owners and asked them to send their videos to Google by the U.S. mail. That's right, we got the video of the regular mail and loaded it ourselves.
Right now, the virtual reality is very much like sending a video in 2006. She's messy. Looking and delivering content requires effort. We're woven with invisible wires. High-level experience is likely to require investments in glasses and a computer of $15,000 or even more. The creation and dissemination of the VR content requires advanced skills. There's no real business model or best practice here.
However, this is the key moment when platforms are being built, careers are being made and innovative companies are being established. The future of equal opportunity is at the beginning, attention is now!
