Araig Virtual Reality Suit
The U.S. Heimers and Enthusiasts from NullSpace VR presented a project at the Kickstarter Crudfanding site that will make the virtual reality even closer. The developed Hardlight VR Suit, which is more on the vest, is compatible with HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, PlayStation VR and other platforms that will be available shortly. The VR-width consists of 16 separate components that affect a certain group of muscles, which will enable users to feel vibrations on themselves from the explosion, shooting or kneeling arrow.
The VR market is constantly growing, and the Hardlight vest is far from the first, and even less, the latest project, moving from interaction with the virtual environment to a more real one. For example, last year, Intel submitted the prototype of its VR gillet. We can also recall the VR gloves and the ones being developed in the Oculus laboratory. However, unlike the above-mentioned accessories, Hardlight allows the entire upper torso to be used, so the user can feel touching the back, chest, shoulders, hands and abdomen.
The VR jacket does not deter the movements of its owner by ensuring maximum freedom. The development was complemented by audio-device 3, 5 mm, USB-ports 2.0 and 3.0, as well as motion tracking sensors, so that Hardlight determines the turn and head inclination of the torso position. The VR is about 1, 6 kg.
The developers ' team promised that by exemplifying Hardlight, users would actually feel tactile feedback: light rain on their shoulders or feel the enemy approaching.
To date, the Hardlight base model is connected to the SC by USB-cabel. In the plans of the NullSpace VR team, present a wireless module with which the user can count for 3-4 hours of self-sustainment. The model will be sold on a universal scale with adjustable crafts.
