In four months, Sony sold less than 1 million points of virtual reality PlayStation VR. Such sales are unlikely to attract independent soft-wallers

The PlayStation VR, valued at $399, appeared on the market in October last year, and on Monday Sony reported that some 915,000 devices had been sold by 19 February. It is estimated by the developers that this will lead to the sale of 1 million copies planned by the company.
In order to advance any hardware platform, it is critical to engage independent developers and to create a positive feedback relationship with them when popular programmes increase the sales of devices, which in turn attracts new soft developers. The absence of such a relationship may have a negative impact on the fate of the game, as in the case of the Wii U of Nintendo.
Some analysts believe that selling PlayStation VR is not growing fast enough. " Sony reports with satisfaction, but I have been disappointed by these figures " , by Serkan Toto, the Tokyo Games Advisor. Comparing PlayStation VR with devices such as Oculus Rift Facebook or HTC Vive, the product can be described as quite successful, but in the world of players 1 million is almost nothing.
Haruhiro Cudzimoto, Operative Director of Capcom, producing popular games like Resident Evil, shortly after PlayStation VR, warned investors that he was not prepared to spend substantial sums on developing virtual reality games because I'm not sure it's going to be really worth it.
