Sony announced plans to load the owners of the PlayStation 4 Consoli into virtual reality. The company demonstrated the prototype of its gambling helmet at the GDC Games Conference.
"Nothing gives a sense of involvement like virtual reality. Virtual reality has been the dream of a lot of gay men since the computer was invented, and the representative of Sony Shuhei Yoshid noted. The virtual reality system got the code name Project Morpheus. The helmet can work with the PlayStation 4. Yoshida pointed out that this project is a "Sony's work for the past three years."
The device uses FullHD LCD-Eckran providing a 90-degree field of vision. Gadget knows how to work with PlayStation Camera and PlayStation Move to control movements. Helmet is currently connected to consoles with HDMI and USB, but in Sony it will be possible to make the final model wireless. The Japanese add that the device is very light and comfortable in use.
"Virtual reality gives a special sense that you're in a different place. It's hard to explain, but it's an incredibly inspired sense of presence. Sony noted that the helmet of virtual reality could be used not only for games. The company is already working with NASA to develop a project that will enable PS4 holders to live virtually through the journey to Mars.
Let us recall that various projects virtual reality helmets attract the attention of the developers over the past years. For example, in 2012, Kickstarter collected £1,5 million on the Oculus Rift helmet. On its own helmet, virtual reality works in the legendary Valve company.
